  • Rural tourism is in great demand among tourists looking for rural experiences such as the rural character of the places, natural environment, and local community characteristics.


  • From the research project: 

Local community participation in decision making, knowledge sharing, community empowerment, and community knowledge are essential for rural tourism growth to achieve sustainability.

  • For the recommendation:
1. The government should play an important role in rural tourism by paving the path for rural development. 
2. Tourism associations should play an important role in promoting a sustainable tourism industry by providing integrated marketing services at reasonable rates and acting as a channel for governments and industry stakeholders to exchange critical information with tourism organizations. 
3. Participation of local stakeholders and cooperation in tourism activities in rural areas and tourist destinations.
