Local community participation in decision making, knowledge sharing, community
empowerment, and community knowledge are essential for rural tourism growth to
achieve sustainability.

2. Tourism associations should play an important role in promoting a sustainable tourism industry by providing integrated marketing services at reasonable rates and acting as a channel for governments and industry stakeholders to exchange critical information with tourism organizations.
